1- Preparation is key
Most dogs will be fully grown after one year. This is when you can start taking your well-trained, socialized and healthy dog out for regular runs.
Just with about everything else in our lives, preparation is key. During the first year, your goal should be to get your furry friend used to walking and running by your side. When you are out for a walk, jog for a few hundred meters. As soon as your dog stays by your side, you can start increasing the distance your run.
